Bãi cỏ sông Hương – lawn attracts visitors to enjoy the cool breeze and watch the sunset

Hue (Huế) City After being renovated by the government, the lawn stretching over 1 km along both banks of the Bãi cỏ sông Hương has become an attractive spot for tourists and locals to enjoy the cool breeze and watch the sunset every afternoon.

The lawn on the south bank of the Bãi cỏ sông Hương, in front of the National School Monument, with golden sunlight, was taken by photographer Kevin Long, 28, living in Hue City on August 12.

“The lawn along the river creates a highlight for Hue tourism, modern but still preserving cultural values and unique landscapes,” said Mr. Long about the lawn along the two banks of the Huong River, which was renovated by the government since May.

Hundreds of visitors flock here every day, especially after work at 5pm. Many people come to the grassy area to meet friends, enjoy the cool breeze and take sunset photos.

The riverside lawn area is open to the public, visitors just need to park their vehicles outside and walk in to choose a seat. From early morning, many young people brought their camera equipment, looking for a nice angle to enjoy the cool breeze and wait to capture the sunset moment.

According to photographer Long, sunset usually appears quickly between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The most popular “virtual living” spots are the grass field near Truong Tien Bridge and the ironwood bridge.

The riverside tree system is also planned and planted in straight rows along the granite paved road. Visitors can choose to sit on the chairs placed next to the river to enjoy the view instead of going down to the grass.

Many visitors said that if they want to find a private and deserted photo spot, they can move to the riverside lawns from Da Vien bridge towards Thien Mu pagoda.

The lawn is a public space, visitors should take care of their personal belongings, keep clean, do not litter to preserve the landscape and avoid making noise.
